In Arizona's Verde Valley are the remains of a 110-room hilltop pueblo, now preserved in the Tuzigoot National Monument. It was built by the Singua people on a limestone and sandstone ridge between the 11th and 13th centuries. The pueblo was abandoned about 300-400 years ago, most likely due to overcrowding or resource depletion. Made for the 4 Common Corners Art Quilters group challenge theme Abandoned . Welsch, Lynn B.
